You choose your limitations.
You can’t cross the ocean unless you are willing to lose sight of the shore -Ancient Japanese Proverbs
This has always been the foundation of my life.
It saved me a hundred times.
And this could also be your ticket to a better life, use it wisely, but most importantly, use it.
It’s easy to dream, definitely when you are just there lying in bed, Netflix and chill, life is good. Here’s the catch, it is not, eventually life will catch up and when you know it, you’ll be naked.
You need to accept that life will never be fair, and it’s up to you if you will just gonna accept it or go out and change it.
If you are serious about changing your life, you gotta do it right, and if you haven’t done it yet, seek a different perspective, and see things on a larger scale, you’ll be surprised how many things you have missed. You need to see the difference between the noise and your inner voice, learn to eliminate distractions, drop all the excuses, and think it thoroughly.
This decade is going to shape your life, you better catch up.
Sometimes the things that are keeping us away from our dream is this wrong way of thinking, it’s all about perception, sometimes the way you look at things determines your actions, determines your life.
We all aspire to have a good life, let’s start by doing these simple habits that will eventually compound on itself.
Before you go to bed, plan your day ahead
Write it down, put it in your phone, and follow-through. Make it a habit of asking yourself often, “What is it that I can do today that if I do it right, I can then call it a day?” And like the icing on a cake, reward yourself after and not feeling guilty about it.
Be Conscious with your choices
90% of our everyday choices were created by our subconscious mind, and by default, most people tend to choose to play defense, to play it safe just to avoid what they fear, instead of calculating risk and doing the best they can to move forward, to level up, to fight for the things that they want, they instead allow fear to swallow them piece by piece and then wonder why things aren’t going their way.
It is not that you don’t have time, it’s just that you are too lazy to do something about it.
You need to live proactively, be conscious in everything you do, would you buy that fast food just because you don’t have time to prepare your meal? Instead of finding ways to have it sorted out on weekends.
Would you buy that 5th pair of shoes and live paycheck to paycheck?
And would you choose to just lie down, wait for things to happen and then blame everyone else for your tragic life?
If you are born Poor its not your mistake, but if you die poor, it’s your mistake — Bill Gates
Create A Blueprint
Plan years ahead and then break it down into small parts.
“You can only connect the dots looking backward” — The Great Steve Jobs
Create a plan 5-year or 10-year plan, and then break them into a 3-year plan, 1-year plan, 6-month, a month, by week and then today, that is another way of understanding how connecting the dots, works.
It’s more realistic and less overwhelming. Whenever you make a decision, always ask yourself, is this going to help me build the life that I want? If you do this more often, you’d be amazed by how things will start to change.
Show up every single day, good days and bad days.
“Don’t stop when you’re tired, stop when you’re done”
Make it happen, always remember that you are one step away from the life that you want, so why stop now?
